Frequently asked questions
When are you open?
We are open 7 days a week 9am until dusk and book flights every hour on the hour. Closing time depends on the weather and ticket sales for each day as well as seasonal availability. When you're ready to fly, call us as early as possible. We typically start May long weekend and run until mid September depending on the weather.
Can anyone parasail?
No special skills are needed, anyone can parasail. The minimum age to parasail is 4-5 years old. We’ve even taken people in their 90’s up for ride.
I am not parasailing, can I still go on the boat?
Yes! If you have a friend or family member that you would like to accompany onboard the boat we charge $15 for observers. Observers are allowed onboard the boat on a first come first serve basis if there is space available at the time of your flight.
Will I get wet?
No. However, if you would like to get dipped in the water and weather conditions permit, the captain can dip you anywhere from your toes to your nose.
What should I wear?
A swimsuit is best, but shorts or pants are also fine. Don't wear anything you don't want to get wet.
Can I take pictures?
Absolutely! We also have a professional photographer that will take pictures and a GoPro on a selfie stick available for you to take up in the air with you. These packages are available with your booking or at the ticket kiosk.
How long is the ride?
Parasailing flights themselves are about 10-12 minutes. The entire trip depends on how many people are on the boat. Usually this is between 30 minutes to an hour. This includes the boat ride, the flight and the return boat ride back to the dock. Please ensure you arrive at the kiosk 20 minutes before your scheduled flight.
How many can fly at a time?
We can fly one, two or three at a time depending on weight, weather and water conditions.
What if it rains or is extremely windy?
A little sprinkle and we stay out, but high or gusty winds make parasailing unsafe. The Captain decides if we are going on stand-by or if we close down for the day. If you weren’t able to fly then you can either be refunded or rescheduled for another time/day. If you are unsure about the weather conditions, please give us a call the day of your flight and we can confirm whether we are operating or not. That said, weather conditions may change abruptly and the possibility always exists that we may need to suspend operations on short notice if the weather takes a turn – safety always comes first.
Can I take my belongings on the boat?
You can bring a small bag with you on the boat. All bags should stay dry but we cannot guarantee they will not get wet so please think about the items you bring with you. Belongings can be left in the shop if you prefer.
What are your cancellation and refund policies?
Any cancellations done 1 day prior to trip departure will receive a full refund. All cancellations done same day of scheduled departure will have a $50 per person service charge. All cancellations due to poor weather conditions will be rescheduled or receive a full refund.
Is it customary to tip the crew?
Just like others in the service industry, the crew works very hard to make sure all your needs onboard the boat are taken care of. If you had a good time, the crew always appreciates a tip!
